Land O'Lakes Dairy Foods division is a leading marketer of a full line of dairy-based consumer, foodservice and food ingredient products across the United States. This division also includes Global Dairy Ingredients that sells a portfolio of value-added dairy ingredients (specialty powders, milk powder, cheese, butter and whey) and offers expertise to large international customers.
Position Purpose: Provides general knowledge in the development, evaluation of products, process and packaging while providing technical support to Project Leaders by performing routine functions. Responsible for general laboratory up-keep, maintenance and cleaning.
Experience-Education (Required): Associates degree
Competencies-Skills (Required): Can achieve results through cross functional teamwork with internal and external resources. Excellent communication / interpersonal skills with team members and the ability to achieve accelerated time tables while maintaining cooperative working relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Bench top and pilot plant experience with process cheeses and/or sauces. Experience with basic food industry lab testing methods and equipment: Brookfield viscometer, emulsion tests, homogenizer, Hunter colorimeter.
BS Food Science, biological science, packaging or engineering field from an accredited University.
Food experience preferred.
