Quality Assurance Manager - Santa Fe Springs, CA
The QA Manager provides leadership and direction to the Quality Assurance
(QA) technicians in developing, implementing and maintaining the Hazard
Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) program, quality assurance (QA)
program, food safety program and bioterrorism act, recall program, Listeria
program, and sanitation program. The QA Manager is accountable for
providing assistance to various departments within Fuji Food Products to
ensure that our safety and quality programs are followed and in compliance with

or B.S degree in food science with related experience.

experience in a food manufacturing environment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fully develops and implements
HACCP plans, quality program, sanitation program, pest control
program, and Good Manufacturing Practices for assigned facilities.
Responsible for general food safety and regulatory issues.
- Supervises and provides
proper training to QA technicians and provides solutions for
- Accomplishes departmental
human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training,
assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees;
- expectations; planning, monitoring,
appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; and
adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Facilitates any new facility
startups by ensuring that regulations are being followed properly.
- Implements sanitation program
and find solutions to sanitation problems.
- Gives the final decision in
approval of new suppliers/ raw ingredients.
- Work closely with R&D in
developing new products.
- Addresses customer complaints
and conducts investigation if necessary.
- Initiates or assigns specific
projects to improve quality and safety of products.
- Conducts internal audits and
hosts external auditors.
- Travels to other Fuji Food
Products facilities to accomplish special projects and delegate
functions to local supervisors.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements-
- HACCP certified or familiar
with HACCP plan.
