Land O'Lakes Dairy Foods division is a leading marketer of a full line of dairy-based consumer, foodservice and food ingredient products across the United States. This division also includes Global Dairy Ingredients that sells a portfolio of value-added dairy ingredients (specialty powders, milk powder, cheese, butter and whey) and offers expertise to large international customers.

 

Position Purpose:

To build the Land O' Lakes brand with our consumer by bringing "Sharing Goodness" to life through food information and to deliver value added knowledge, insights and expertise that represents the consumer and their viewpoint.

Assists Test Kitchen Managers with food-related aspects of products and projects such as product testing, evaluation, usage application, recipe testing, documenting results/next steps via written reports, and photography support.

Test Kitchen Support:

•Represent the consumer in recipe development, testing, evaluation, and usage application

•Collaborate with Retail & Web test kitchen staff to support brand products, innovation and web initiatives through product/recipe testing and evaluation

•Conduct product, SOP (standard operating procedures), competitive review testing

•Conduct taste panels and clearly communicate key information regarding testing/performance

•Accurate and complete documentation on all testing

•Input into recipe strategy development

•Research food trends and competitive new products

•Gain proficiency and strive for accuracy and adherence to recipe style, editing as necessary

•Maintain or refine test kitchen procedures and best practices for developing and testing recipes

•Generate new content and ideas by understanding trends and needs of consumer target

•Represent the consumer viewpoint when analyzing products and recipes

Brand support:

•Interacts with a variety of internal cross functional team members to provide key product and performance attributes

•Assist in evaluating food photography

Test Kitchen Support:

•Understand and represent the consumer needs and perspectives (from Gen Y to Boomers)

•Monitoring trends and sharing insights

•General test kitchen projects as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

Experience-Education (Required):

BS/BA or higher in Food Science/Nutrition/Business or related degree

1 or more years of corporate Test Kitchen experience
