This position is a
research scientist working at the bench and pilot plant to support the
development of the business. People in this position will develop products/processes,
derive new products and commercialize both for value addition to the

responsible for management and operation of the pilot plant on a day to
commercially-viable applications including RTD beverages,
RTM beverages, bars and other nutritional applications.
Operate and manage pilot
plant equipment including; microthermics
indirect and direct injection modules, blending equipment, homogeniser.
Trouble shoot and carry out minor repair
on pilot plant equipment and facilities. Perform general and
preventative maintenance to assure minimal downtime
Take formulations from
bench-top to pilot plant and finally to commercial scale.
Develop nutrition labels
and ingredient labels using Genesis Software that meet FDA
Respond quickly to customer
requests for reformulations of existing and new products.
Establish a strong working
relationship with the Glanbia Business
Development team so that new products can be commercialized in a
smooth, rapid manner.

Must possess a bachelor of
science (B.S) or equivalent; four
years related experience and/or training.
Must be mechanically
inclined, requires skills in troubleshooting, and maintenance &
repair of plant equipment
Proficient computer skills
that allow analysis and interpretation of scientific data, graphics,
statistical analysis and preparation of publication quality
Must be able to handle
multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be flexible in
schedule to meet the needs of various projects including attending
Must be accurate in taking
samples & performing tests
Experience with the
application of ingredients in nutritional products and functional foods is highly desirable.
