Miyoko’s Kitchen is the first artisanal vegan cheese company located in Fairfax. Here, in our facility, we hum with excitement to make and deliver scrumptious organic vegan cheese offerings. We are a values-driven company, filled with dedicated and passionate individuals striving towards a common goal. Although we’ve only been in operation for a little over a year, our products are now carried by major organic stores throughout the country and selected overseas locations as well. With our rapid growth, we are looking for inspired people interested to grow with us as well.

Position: Food scientist, full time.

Essential responsibility is to work with cross functional teams in the development of new product formulations and/or reformulation of existing products; product stabilization and training staff to identify commercialized-ready products.

Qualifications:

BS in Food Science or closely related field with up to 2 years’ experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Demonstrated experience in product development and formulation from concept to completion.

Working knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations, experience with food safety, HACCP and quality regulations/programs is a plus.

Prior professional experience supporting the development of vegan cheese and or other vegan product is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and be on your feet.
