Develop process methods for the scale-up of new

screening and testing of existing botanical raw materials for the
improvement of color yield.
Support Sensient Quality
Control department in the analysis of new natural color
Work with Sensient Supply
Chain department to identify and procure raw materials that have potential
as natural colorants.
Assist Sensient Regulatory
department with technical information on novel natural colors that may
require FDA approval.
Actively work with Sensient
affiliate sites to promote transfer of natural color knowledge.
Collaborate with vendors to identify state-of-the-art
color stabilization technologies.
Provide training to Marketing and Sales team on
performance and functionality of new natural color products in
Interpret FDA regulations regarding food colorants,
both exempt from certification (natural colors) and certified (FD&C)
Evaluate and match competitive natural and synthetic
colors currently approved by the FDA.
Assist Technical Support Managers in developing
technical brochures and specification data sheets for new natural colors.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at minimum two to four years of
technical service experience in the chemistry of food
Knowledge of food and food related industries, and
prior work experience with food pigments is preferred.
A Masterís degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Food
Science is required.
