Essential Duties and Responsibilities:†††††††††††††††††

         Perform micro testing on finished products as well as environment, investigate and report back to QA Manager and Supervisor findings.

         Perform additional investigative micro/ packaging integrity studies during spoilage, incipient issues and environmental positives to determine organism of concern and packaging failure.

         Perform, direct, and assist with tracking Allergen and ATP Testing.

         Gather, sort, record and report data regarding normal production as well as product investigations.

         Check paperwork for accuracy while recording problem and solution on appropriate forms.

         Assist QA Manager as well as Supervisor in tasks which would include laboratory cross sample programs and technician performance testing.

         Perform Acid Tear Downs on packaging to help identify potential issues with fillers.

         Ensures effective safety procedures, tools and record keeping are managed through site leadership.

         Assist the Document Reviewers with paperwork and releases.

         Adheres to company GMPís (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.

         All other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School Diploma required.Associates or Bachelorís degree in Food Science or related field preferred.

 

Experience:

Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Food manufacturing environment experience as well as microbiology lab experience highly sought.Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices as well as Good Laboratory Practices a must.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Candidate must be committed to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices is beneficial. Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
