Job Description

Role Summary:

PepsiCo Nutrition Science is central to the Company's future and instrumental in innovation and communications efforts. This role will support the implementation of nutrition strategies for PepsiCo with an emphasis on food service and tea for both Global and North American Beverages. The role includes collaboration with the Pepsi-Lipton Partnership nutrition scientist. The role will provide product guidance for innovation and renovation, translation of nutrition science for various stakeholders, and identifying nutrition communication opportunities. The successful candidate will be based in our Purchase, NY office, report to the Senior Manager of Global and North America Nutrition Sciences for hydration, tea and foodservice and will be part of a global nutrition science organization with more than 60 people.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advance the translation of nutrition science to global business partners and other corporation functions to enable portfolio innovation, transformation and science based business opportunities.
  • Engage both consumers and experts with relevant nutrition activation content and support the training internal audiences through several platforms inclusive of digital and social media, Symposia, conferences and trade shows, internal and external brochures and articles.
  • Actively engage with R&D teams to promote nutrition opportunities that differentiate PepsiCo products from competitive landscape.
  • Effectively leverage existing and emerging nutrition science to provide science based opportunities and solutions for the tea and food service businesses.
  • Network internally to influence highly matrixed teams and foster communication and sharing of best practices around the globe.



Requirements:

  • PhD or MSc in nutrition science or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in translating Nutrition science to drive business growth.
  • Demonstrated ability in commercially relevant research.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in cross functional teams, while working together to meet timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds, personalities, work styles across various levels of the organization.
  • Use scientific technical expertise for identification and evaluation of trends/ innovations in nutrition science.
  • Proven communication skills with strong ability to translate nutrition science for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Deliver nutrition education and training for internal audiences.
