Entry-level Food Scientists are needed for a leading manufacturer. The Food Scientists is responsible for driving technical projects including new product development, brand renovations, and improving quality and manufacturing productivity. Qualified candidates must have a BS in Food Science, and minimum of an internship in a food science related role. Candidates with a related scientific degree will be considered, and our client prefers candidates with animal protein related experience. This is a contract role slated to last 5 months in the Madison, WI area. Our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of formulation and product commercialization processes
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify solutions to meet the needs of the core animal protein businesses
  • Apply scientific principles to new products

Requirements

  • B.S. in Food Science or related
  • 2+ years' of experience in a technical function (which can include all graduate and intern work)
  • Understanding of animal protein product chemistry, analytical testing, formulations and processing used in food manufacturing
  • Ability to travel up to 50%+ of the time is required
