The Food R & D Technology Internship is a summer
program that provides train the intern on R & D technology techniques in a renowned cheese production
facility. The Internship will also encompass involvement in a basic R
& D project working with the Corporate Product Quality Manager and
Food R & D Technologist.
Set up comparison evaluations and set up products for
Write up product comparison.
Review Sensory Process and verify the process follows
exact PPM documentation for SQF audit.
Assist in R&D projects.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED is required.
A Bachelorís degree or in the process of obtaining a Bachelorís
degree (junior or senior preferred) in Food Science, Dairy Science
or related field of study is a plus.
Prior food production or production /manufacturing
experience and/or training is preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate with moderate supervision
Technical knowledge in area of responsibility and
meticulous attention to detail
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
(Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel); specialized database
experience is preferred
Requires commitment to objectives of the department and
organization; Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
Math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and
Decision-making skills, training skills, problem analysis
skills, teamwork, creativity, the need to read, write, speak and
understand the English language and the need to perform advanced math
(analysis, statistics, significant data or number manipulation)
Physical ability to taste test all of our products
Must be able to pass pre-employment test.
Temporary, fulltime position; Summer internship. Wage
is $16.50 to $18.00 per hour.
