This is a hands-on position and requires a large portion of time in the
plant. The department is comprised of 3 shifts. Provide hands-on
leadership, experience and guidance required for the overall operations of
the Bakery, Kitchen and Prebatch through
planning, directing and the achieving of key performance indicators to
maintain optimum standards of product quality, efficiency, safety, cost,
and schedule compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPOSIBLITIES:
- Drive high standards in
Quality, efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide leadership and
direction to Processing-Bakery Management and staff.
- Ensure the safety of team
members by evaluating methods, procedures, environment and equipment.
- Responsible for implementing
and managing strategies to increase efficiency, maintain quality, and
ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement
tracking programs to monitor goals, progress and provided trend
analysis to management
- Responsible for hiring and
assisting supervisors to schedule/ manage the Processing-Bakery Team.
Provide failure analysis and corrective actions.
- Establish and achieve
individual and Processing-Bakery internal goals.
- Focus on Team Members
- Ensure a clean, efficient,
and safe working environment with accurate inventory control.
- Responsible for ensuring the
TMs follow GMP’s and Safety guidelines.
- Report daily activity results
to Unit Manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- BS degree in Food Science,
Bakery Science, or related field preferred. Must have 5-8 years’
experience as Supervisor in food manufacturing with a focus on Bakery
Production and Materials Management. Graduate of the American
Institute of Baking (AIB) a plus.
- Good Management and
- HACCP certified
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
- High standards in food
safety, workplace safety, and sanitation.
- Strong USDA, FDA, and third
party management skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of
Microsoft Office Suite and MRP software systems
