This position is responsible for overseeing all stages of product
and process development and control, reviewing and approving nutritional
data for print, writing new product specifications, and enforcing all USDA
labeling regulations. Other responsibilities include: developing
samples/prototypes of new products; modifying existing products; developing
specifications for product production labeling; compiling cost analysis
information. Other duties include: workingwith
Sales, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments; coordinating with
suppliers of ingredients; ensuring smooth start-up for new product
production processes; other special projects as needed.
Education: Bachelor's degree or M.S. in Food Science or in an
academic field directly related to the job.
Experience: 2+ year's research experience with Tyson or similar
experience within the food industry with B.S. No experience required with
M.S. or Ph.D.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication
