As an Agriculture Food
Inspection Specialist you will be responsible for sanitation inspections of
food establishments and food processing centers in the Norfolk/Columbus
area. Individual will operate out of a mobile-office and report to a field
supervisor as well as the Lincoln Office. Occasional overnight

establishments for food safety and sanitation. Communicate with food
establishment operators. Investigate consumer complaints. Conduct training
programs. Ability to work with the public.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with at least 30 hours of natural sciences and/or
biological science. Must be able to sit for Registered Environmental Health
Specialist Certification (REHS) within two years.
PREFERRED: Experience in food service establishments, public speaking, and
enforcement of regulatory work or enforcing state statutes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of: Food
sanitation standards, food preparation equipment, and food
service. Skill in: Communicating with a diverse group of individuals, and
