Organic Valley - La Farge,
Product Development Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and
coordinating information relating to the multiple aspects of the Product
Development (PD) Department. This person is responsible for the maintenance
of all internal PD Department documentation and provides document support
to other CROPP departments and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer technical questions
about our ingredients, products and processing facilities as posted on
the Organic Valley Intranet.
Manage the online file system
for all ingredients and vendors.
Participate in the
development of new product formulation, through the approval of
external vendors for all ingredients and services.
Assist with tracking and
documentation relating to New Product meetings.
Assist with contacting
laboratories for product testing, coordinating shipments of samples
and maintaining results.
Assist with plant trial
Hold confidential and
proprietary information received in CROPP in strict confidence and exercises
a reasonable degree of care to prevent disclosure to others.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide nutritional and
specification support to other departments as needed.
Assist with department
invoices and tracking as needed.
Assist with budget tracking
Provide assistance on
research projects as needed.
Assist in the product
development lab as needed.
Assist with the sensory
program as needed.
Other duties as assigned by
the Product Development Group Leaders or the Product Development
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors in Food Science/Dairy
Minimum of two years of
product development and/or food lab experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft
Word and Excel.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written
Ability to organize and
prioritize multiple tasks.
Commitment to accuracy and
attention to detail.
Strong facilitation skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Self-directed and willing to
work on routine tasks.
