The Dairy Technical Support position is responsible for support and service
of dairy sanitation and supplies.
Build a solid understanding of MICRO products, dairy operations, customer
business objectives, and applicable government regulations.
Provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety,
quality and operations; including assisting with sanitation plans and
programs, standard operating procedures, evaluating processes and
procedures, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and
Develop strategic work plans for completing sales and service calls with
new and existing customers.
Communicate effectively with all levels of dairy staff; build strong
business relationships and networks.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations on MICRO's innovative products,
equipment and services.
Manage MICRO’s products and equipment; participate in equipment
installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair
or adjust equipment, adjust sanitation concentration levels, monitor
product inventory and place orders.
Minimum Experience and Education:
BS/BA degree in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering,
chemistry, biology or related field. 2 years experience
in the dairy industry or 2 years selling into dairy environments in
technical sales. Must have an excellent mechanical ability. Bilingual
skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record. Willingness and
ability to work varying hours including an average of 1-3 nights (hours
during second and/or third shifts) per week. Willingness and ability to
travel by car throughout a geographic territory, including periodic
