Sensory Technologist - Carlisle, PA

The Sensory Technologist schedules and executes bench top product evaluations on current and new Own Brand product formulations, and manages the execution of special projects as needed. This individual is also responsible for the management and execution of sensory testing through in-store Consumer Research and internal Associate Research. The Sensory Technologist will conduct statistical analysis and translate the data into actionable insights through technical reports.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, and possess and apply knowledge of food science and sensory research to plan and coordinate projects. The role will work with cross-functional teams and assist in the overall quality of Own Brand products providing support to Product Validation and Sensory.
•Review and interpret data, including the statistical analysis of sensory panel data and prepare written technical reports
•Schedule, set-up and execute product validation for Own Brand internal product evaluations and report generation
•Coordinates samples and information with suppliers
•Possesses and applies knowledge of Sensory/QA science to plan and coordinate projects including specialized study designs and validation methodologies
•Assists in management of Associate sensory program in Carlisle office including scheduling, sample requests, and inventory management
•All other duties as assigned
•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
•2-3 years work experience with quality assurance/sensory and food science laboratory experience preferred.
•Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices and GMPs preferred.
•Strong technical writing skills.
•Experience in analytics or statistics with the ability to conduct statistical analysis of sensory data preferred.
•Must possess strong communication skills.
•Must have ability to multi-task and set priorities.
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•Must have proven problem-solving skills
