QA - Quality Control
The Quality Control Manager must be knowledgeable about all food safety standards that are customary within food productions and mandated by governmental regulations.
QC is responsible for maintaining product quality and safety throughout all aspects of production, including: development, maintenance, emplacement, and enforcement of all safety , testing, quality assurance, traceability and recall plans procedures and programs. The QC manager may direct and lead employees, but does not directly supervise.
QC will be in charge of safety and security of this facility and constantly be in review of all procedures for safety and quality and conduct continuous improvement activities.
QC will work within production areas to ensure all aspects of food safety plans are being followed. Reviewing production paperwork to ensure traceability and sanitation procedures are thoroughly and accurately documented. Perform direct observations, records reviews, operational sanitation checks, etc.
Audit employee practices and compliance to HACCP, SSOP, SOP procedures. Record and correct any non-compliance issues.
Ensure operations are not hindered due to compliance, sanitation, safety or QA. This includes pre and post areas as stated above.
In depth knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and USDA & FDA regulations and standards
Proficient knowledge of workplace safety and regulations
Proficient knowledge of food safety and Health Dept regulations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple employees and departments
Ability to perform wide variety of tasks without direct supervision
Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate
Excellent time management skills and organization
