Support sensory testing
programs and partner with Sensory Analysts to execute studies
Support daily operations
including reference procurement, preparing samples, documentation of
preparation protocols, updating & organization of session lab
logs, restocking supplies & proper storage of products.
Upkeep of the Sensory
laboratory and sensory evaluation rooms
Support and oversee the
Technician set up for each panel session to include following set up
logs, sample labelling, delivery of samples & other materials to
each panelist and Sensory laboratory and panel room clean up.
Maintain good safety and
housekeeping practices by adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
guidelines. Review, update and maintain descriptive panel schedule and
ensure studies are on track and samples are submitted in a timely
Prepare summary reports of
R&D activities for review with the supervisor.
Develop questionnaires and
prepare tests for evaluation
Ensuring that sensory testing
is conducted in controlled conditions and with adherence to GLPs and
safe food handling and cleanliness protocols
Manage the global proprietary
language library and develop references for the Sensory Global
Associates or Bachelorís degree
in Chemistry, Food Science or related field
1+ years of laboratory or
product development lab experience preferred, preferably in consumer
Basic chemistry skills with
solid understanding of lab practices.
Must be highly interested in
food and able to taste different types of food with no restrictions.
Knowledge of sensory consumer
science, sweeteners, modified starches, hydrocolloids, high potency
sweeteners, and flavors a plus.
Ability to effectively interact
with cross-functional project teams and work with a diverse group of
people and work styles across all levels of the organization.
