The Food Safety Technician will conduct the verification of Quality Assurance and Food Safety Programs including all additional supporting programs used in the validation process. The following is a list of tasks that a Food Safety Technician is expected to perform.

  • BRC program validation.
  • COA and Letter of Guarantee reviews
  • Traceability & Mock Recall verification
  • SOP audits.
  • HACCP verifications, validations, and pre-shipment reviews.
  • Ongoing validation of the Food Safety & Quality programs.
  • Fill in for Pre-operational inspection during absence of Food Safety Technician
  • Identifying and taking control of food safety and quality issues.
  • Data entry of results.
  • Generating reports.
  • Assist in laboratory samples collection and testing.
  • Assist with Quality Assurance responsibilities

These tasks must be completed daily to ensure the products being made meet both the USDA regulations, BRC requirements, and the Redís All Natural specifications.

Required education/training:

  • Proper training in BRC, Quality Assurance/HACCP programs, and pre-operational inspection before being allowed to work alone in these areas.
  • Four year degree in science related field preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of computer applications.
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Good math skills.
