This position exists to support development and improvement of Medifast products.  This position enhances Medifast product support by training the Contact Center, MWCC and other key employees about Medifast products.  This position coordinates organization and dissemination of critical web-based technical product information to Medifast customers.  This position is also responsible for maintaining raw material documentation.  Supports and reports to the Product Development Manager.  Coordinates targeted product trainings throughout company divisions.  Primary responsibility for managing ingredient documentation for website, supporting finished product documentation, and conducting product acceptability surveys. 



  • Assist with the development of new products and the reformulation of existing products.
  • Update and disseminate technical documentation to ensure accurate product information on Medifast websites.
  • Coordinate and Conduct call-center, MWCC and other product trainings for the company.
  • Update and maintain product documentation for raw materials. 
  • Create and send out new product acceptability surveys based on product launch cycle.  Tabulate and help summarize completed survey data.
  • Assist with evaluation of alternate raw materials based on documentation and laboratory testing.


  • Bachelor’s degree or basic background in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or related science.  Previous experience in food, chemistry, and or science laboratory environment. 
  • Ability to train small or large groups on technical details in a way that is interesting and memorable. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex, scientific product details simply, succinctly and accurately. 
  • Ability to represent the department to the company in tasting presentations and product trainings. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight timelines.
  • Flexibility to work with people from a variety of departments.  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Genesis/Esha or other Product Development software a plus.
