Support the development of juice formulations, in
response to market trends and consumer needs.
Maintain/upgrade commercial formulas for brand maintenance and cost
This is a hands-on product development position, reporting to a Senior
Scientist, where the primary function will be to implement designed
experiments and formulate products on a bench level, scale up formulations
using laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
Execute experiments to identify best formulations
responding to quality, consumer preference, and cost requirements. Follow
formulation & blending instructions to prepare prototype samples.
Assist in scale up runs as required.
Conduct shelf life studies, summarize results and report to supervisor.
Organize routine sensory evaluation, collect and summarize data. Provide

Maintain an organized and updated laboratory notebook.
Responsible for running/maintaining laboratory equipment
Maintain ingredient inventory for prototype development work (pulling
ingredients from production, maintaining a library of frozen ingredients,
dry powders and liquid ingredients)
Calibrate analytical instruments on a daily schedule
Coordinate all incoming & outgoing shipments (ingredients, product,
test samples, etc…) as well as maintain inventory of shipping materials.
This includes carrying boxes up and down stairs. * Order and maintain all

Minimum travel required; ** Experience:
1-2 years experience in a lab setting, preferably
a beverage or food lab. Experience in consumer foods or beverage industry
B.S. in Food Science or comparable discipline
