JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Provide yogurt technology expertise and on-site R&D support to the WhiteWave Foods manufacturing facility in DuBois, PA.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of R&D and working on-site as a DuBois team member: 

  • Trouble shoot and optimize current yogurt products and manufacturing process
  • Provide onsite technical support for new yogurt brands
  • Onsite technical lead for new product scale up trials
  • Scale up and commercialization of new Ingredients
  • Verify process capability working with Quality and Operations
  • Optimize critical yogurt consumer attributes
  • Ensure strong and effective product specifications
  • Evaluate yogurt products for shelf life
  • Test new yogurt technologies and lab methods
  • Provide support to Packaging Engineering as required
  • Provide on-site Sensory training working with Corp R&D and Quality
  • Provide Corporate R&D reports on status of Yogurt at DuBois

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

PREFERRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education and Experience:

  • B.S. in Food Science or related field with 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Hands on experience with yogurt product development and/or processing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Cultured food products with emphasis on Yogurt
  • Experienced in food processing   
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Highly collaborative working style
