We are currently in search for a Quality Assurance Supervisor that will help continue to provide this exceptional service to our loyal consumers.

The QA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the QA lab and ensuring compliance with all food safety and food quality programs. Position assists QA manager in maintaining an effective and compliant HACCP program; generates, maintains, and audits daily quality and food safety documentations; and provides technical support to the plant and corporate R&D. In addition, position assists in customer audits, investigation of customer complaints, and determining root cause and corrective action. This position may work closely with plant staff, R&D, sales, procurement/purchasing, planning, logistics/inventory, external vendors/suppliers, customers, auditors, and regulatory agencies.


  • 2-4 years of quality systems management experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelorís degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, or closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in HACCP, BRC and SQF practitionerís certification are highly preferred.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented and set high standards for accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversees and ensures compliance with all regulatory and company-defined food safety and sanitation standards, systems, procedures and practices.
  • Develops programs and procedures with appropriate departments to ensure compliance.
  • Conducts inspections to look for areas of improvement and enforce proper GMPS adherence.
  • Reviews daily quality paperwork as completed by operators and supervisors.
  • Trains employees and ensure food safety and quality parameters are met.
  • Provides a high level of technical expertise/support within the facility and externally. Technical expertise includes: Applied statistics, Quality management systems and measurement, Consumer complaint analysis and reduction, Sanitation, and Regulatory requirement processes.
  • Assists with plant regulatory, customer, and third party audits by giving tours, explaining plant programs and reviewing documents with auditors.
  • Compiles and researches data for various projects, studies, and/or product development.
  • Analyzes data to determine trends. Manages issues with non-conforming product to ensure proper control, minimizing losses and providing analysis to eliminate future occurrences.
  • Maintains laboratory supply, equipment inventory, and MSDS. Monitors supply inventory performance and ensures purchases of new materials are coordinated with purchasing.
  • Helps oversee and conduct quality/food safety programs, including microbiological, analytical and sensory testing.
  • Assists with document control, internal audits, corrective actions and root cause analysis.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
