Food Technologist
Our client, well known in the food industry as a supplier to leading retailers, branded confectionery manufacturers and food service chains. Due to their continued growth they have created a new position within their R&D team.

They are seeking an experienced product developer with a successful history of developing and commercializing new products. This newly created position will focus on the development of confectionary fillings, syrups/sauces, and ice cream variegates and bases.

The successful candidate will:

Have a good working knowledge of stabilizers, proteins, and fats.
The ability to work cross functionally with Quality, Sales, and Operations to lead product commercialization trials.
Leverage problem solving and critical thinking skills to overcome development obstacles and find solutions.
Bring a creative approach and creative ideas to new projects.
Possess strong communication skills and MS Office competency.
Adapt to quickly changing priorities and enjoy working as part of a team.
Have experience with food manufacturing and analytical testing methods.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements as needed for the preparation of ingredient declarations and product specifications.

BS in Food Science, Chemistry. Ability to apply principles of food science to the development of new products. Flexibility and willingness to work with shifting priorities 4-6 years product development experience a in food manufacturing environment.
