Figiís Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager to lead
the Food Safety functions within the organization. This position provides
leadership and direction to all aspects of the quality effort, including:
- Development and
implementation of Food Defense and Food Safety programs (including but
not limited to GMPs, Product Traceability, Allergen Control, Pest
Control, Recall, Transportation, & Recordkeeping).
- The Food Safety Manager plays
a vital role in ensuring compliance with the Food Safety Modernization
Act and regulatory updates.
- Regulatory compliance
- Vendor compliance and support
- Technical and operational
support to product development, assembly and warehousing.
- Management of laboratory
staff and microbiological testing programs
- Administration of ingredient
and nutritional labeling programs
Qualifications include a Bachelors
degree in Food Science or related field, plus 5 years of experience
managing food safety and quality programs. Candidates must have excellent
leadership, communication and organizational skills, and must be able to
manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Experience with food safety, GMPs, HACCP, SQF and FSMA is essential for
success in this position.
