Job Description

Davisco Foods is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor- Training for our Corporate Quality Facility in Le Sueur, MN.



Essential Functions include the following:


•    Review products produced at our facility and ingredients sourced. 

•    Understands compliance requirements of Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Regulatory and Food Safety Requirements.

•    May be asked to report to the plant during off time in circumstances require the presence of QA support.

•    Participate in Quality Assurance Program-application of various systems.

•    Work with plant, corporate and warehouse personnel to resolve day-to-day quality tasks/needs as they arise.

•    Participate in Troubleshooting/Root Cause Analysis events

•    Participate in external classes as it relates to training program.

•    On-site review of process flow

•    On-site review of laboratory microbiological testing

•    Project assignments as it relates to Quality and Food Safety Programs

•    Participation in External Classes (Management Training, Dairy Sanitation Course, HACCP Certification)



Secondary Functions include the following:


•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Technical Competencies:


•    Excellent computer literacy/skills-work load requires working with data recorded on spreadsheets.

•    Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and sampling requirements.

•    Ability to pay strong attention to detail and multitask effectively.

•    Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, procedures and related documents as needed).





•    Recent AS/AAS/BS/MS Degree in a science related field or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a food production plant.

•    Industry internship in manufacturing or laboratory desired



Non-technical Competencies:


•    Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

•    Requires the ability to communicate and document work.

•    Daily use of communication via email, telephone, in written form, or in person.

•    Strong organizational skills



Work Conditions:


•    Track and maintain information on a database.

•    Be able to move up and down stairs.

•    Occasionally move up to 50 pounds.

•    Able and willing to work at heights of 80 feet or more.

•    Be able to work at floor level, waist level, and shoulder level repetitively.

•    Be able to work the shift assigned and fill in other shifts as needed.
