Quality Assurance Information Coordinator
Organic Valley - La Farge, WI

 

The Quality Assurance Information Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and coordinating information relating to the multiple aspects of the Quality Assurance (QA) Department. This person is responsible for the maintenance of all internal QA Department documentation and addresses document requests to other CROPP departments and customers. This is a safety sensitive role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain database information in various software programs.
  • Organize and update Vendor Survey and Private Label documentation.
  • Maintenance and/or development of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Specification Sheets.
  • Assist in the collection of documents as related to the Import/Export of products for internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for the creation of new and maintenance of existing product specifications.
  • Collect and analyze Raw Milk Quality data and provide feedback.
  • Handles confidential information with discretion.


Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Document product and/or plant deviations.
  • Receive, document and arrange sensory analysis related to customer inquiries and/or product evaluations.
  • Package and arrange shipment of various samples for analysis (i.e. labs, plants and customers).
  • Releasing of products and backing-up other QA Technician’s job duties as assigned.
  • Perform microbiological, pH, moisture and analytical tests as needed, and shares testing results with appropriate departments/team members for follow up or further analysis.
  • Provide assistance on research projects as needed.
  • Attend associated meetings and work closely with other team members.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager or Director.
  • Develop tracking and statistical data for creation of continuous improvement programs.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School education or GED required; Science or Business degree preferred.
  • Quality Assurance/Food Safety experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GFSI, HACCP and GMP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Dairy and/or plant experience strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-directed and willing to work on routine tasks.
