Watertown Hops opened in 1989 and is a division
of MillerCoors located in Watertown, Wisconsin.
Watertown Hops provides high-quality hops directly to MillerCoors
and generates income from sales to third parties. The plant also provides
easy access to a wide variety of hops products, which helps us more quickly
develop new products, since hops can have a significant effect on the flavor
profiles of beers. Watertown Hops employs a staff of approximately 10 to 15.

obtaining and maintaining the plant’s ISO and PSM management systems at
the highest level.
Assist in research and process
development planning and play a major role in promoting learning
development in the facility.
This position serves as the
Associate Chemist backup during vacations, absences or other needs.
Monitor analytical data,
process trend charts, and run sheets to ensure compliance to the
Quality Manual and timely reaction to trends in the data.
Champion the effort to achieve
and maintain ISO and Kosher certification for Watertown Hops Company.
Review the Quality Manual on
an annual basis to ensure compliance and recommend updates.
Log and track hold material,
process deviations, and consumer complaints.
Represent the quality
assurance aspect of the facility during audits and inspections.
Participate / Leadership in
Level 1 Structured Communication meetings.
Assist in the creation and
modification of laboratory procedures.
Lead training (Safety, People,
Quality, Service, Cost) training as assigned.
Perform an annual chemical
inventory and audit of MSDS sheets.
Present technical information
on chemical safety at team meetings.
Ensure that all chemicals in the
facility are labeled in accordance with the facility’s Hazard
Communications Policy. Own the Process Safety Management program.
Bachelor of Science degree in
Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry or other similar field required.
Advanced degree in field of work or business school preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of
experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing Leadership or
performing analytical/chemical tests per established standards.
Experience performing routine
calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment is

management systems preferred.
