Heinz is searching for a Food Technologist to join our Research
& Development Team. In this position you will work in areas of new
product development related to formulations, cost reductions and quality
Develop formulations, create
and modify factory processes in the areas of new product development,
cost reduction and quality improvement.
Apply food science knowledge
to determine best ways to process, package, preserve, store and
of new products and product renovation in our internal facilities and
co-packers including experimental trials in the factories and pilot
to determine levels of vitamins, fat, sugar and protein as a part of
the ingredient statement.
Support new technology
platforms ways to make processed foods safe, palatable, and healthy.
Production & Processing:
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control,
costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture
and distribution of goods.
Food Production: Working
knowledge of ingredient functionality including storage/handling
Working knowledge of product
development from bench top to factory and familiarity with quality
B.S. in Food Science,
Engineering, or related field required.
Minimum of 2-4 years of
industry experience necessary.
Travel domestically 25% of the
