Fruit Fillings, Inc. is actively seeking a full time Food Safety Assistant Manager for its Fresno, CA location who will assist the Food Safety Manager to ensure the development, compliance, and certification of HACCP, GFSI, FSSC22000 audits and associated company programs.

The ideal candidate will have:
Hands on experience, training and certification in HACCP.
Have attended Better Processing school and have prior experience with ISO and FSSC22000 auditing
In addition, this candidate will have completed Food Safety Preventive Controls training.
A degree in Food Science, Microbiology or related studies is preferred as is prior food processing and packaging experience is desired.

Job Summary:
Provide HACCP guidance to the operations, including HACCP plan reviews and validation. Assist with food safety as it relates to vendor management. Ensuring that the facility, including the off-site warehouse, meets all food safety laws, regulations, and corporate policies.

Work environment includes plant, laboratory, warehouse, production, non-production and plant grounds; this position may require approximately 5% travel and work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends

Responsible for adherence to the Allergen management program, including new product review for allergen content.

Interfacing with and responding to regulatory agencies to ensure compliance to regulations under the guidance of the Food Safety Manager. Interacting with federal or state inspectors regarding product releases.

Assisting with HACCP, GMP, and food safety training at regular employee meetings, Daily interaction and coordination with the Food Safety Manager, the Plant Manager, the Research and Development Manager and Senior Management.
Ensuring compliance to all standard work processes, including Production Sanitation oversight and review daily production documentation.

Monitoring Food Safety Management System plans for appropriate and consistent content, documentation, and execution. Assisting with water quality reporting and environmental pathogen monitoring and reporting

Compensation:

Hiring Process:
Those individuals who qualify for the position will be selected for an interview. The final applicant will need to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screenings and a background check. Applicant will be required to register with a temporary agency and work 90 days prior being hired on as a regular full-time employee.
