Position: Plant Production Supervisor
Location: Kent, WA
Availability: Immediate

Kent area specialty beverage products manufacturing company is seeking a plant production supervisor. This individual will report directly to senior management. The primary responsibility is to assure customer satisfaction by establishing and enforcing quality standards and policies for manufactured products and departmental practices. This position requires about 80% of the time to be on the plant floor.

Job Duties:

  • Accomplishes quality staff results by creating and communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching.
  • Identifies, establishes and maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, training and monitoring employees to written job expectations and objectives; resolving personnel problems.
  • Maintains product quality by enforcing policies and procedures for incoming raw materials, in process, finished goods and rework.
  • Establishes and maintains document control system by supervising, creating, editing, archiving and distributing procedures and batch records.
  • Supports continuous improvement objectives by data collection, data analysis, and root cause dissemination; corrective and preventive action, non conformance, material destruction, process deviation.
  • Optimizes methodologies, identifying areas for quality and efficiency improvements and cost reductions opportunities, monitoring departmental labor hours and expenses.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in life sciences or food science degree strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing in a supervisory position
  • Experience in executing required food safety audits and requisite programs, including GMPs, HACCP, Food Safety and Allergen.
  • Has managed independent food safety audits including (but not all) AIB, BRC, SQF.
  • Strong communication; both verbal and written and ability to work on a team.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions and manage projects.
  • You will regularly supervise 4-10 employees.

Hours: This shift is 7:30am to 5pm

This is a full time position. The company offers medical benefits.

Compensation: $50,000 annual, based on experience and qualifications.
Bonus incentive for exceeding performance standards available.

Salary: $50,000.00 /year
