Position: Mfg Team Leader I
Location: Culinary Center - Houston, TX

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary
- Requires direct supervision
- In a development mode
- Administer practices and policies
- Assigned to a team
- Focus on day-to-day issues
- Handles tactical day-to-day issues
- Seeks advice on complex issues
- Mentor is Ops. Leader

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides coaching, training and development
- Administers certification tests
- Seeks out recommendation from appropriate leader on handling critical situations
- Handles day-to-day tactical issues independently with little or no supervision
- Ensures compliance with internal practices and external policies, procedures, guidelines & governance
- Communicate tactical plans & initiatives to effectively gain partner cooperation
- Provides input on staffing levels & participates in sourcing and interviewing candidates
- Identifies & develops team coordinators
- Processes each work injury
- Administers performance appraisals

Quality Assurance Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with work instructions, standards and product specifications

Service Responsibilities
- Executes production schedule to ensure on-time delivery in an efficient & effective manner
- Provide detailed shift summaries to other leaders

Financial Responsibilities
- Prepare and communicate plans to achieve team goals to leader(s)
- Implements plans
- Monitor and adjust labor requirements to balance staffing levels and overtime costs
- Regularly reviews and communicates results with team
- Actively participates in the Hoshin objectives

Education and Experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree Required (Strongly prefer in Food Science and/or Culinary Arts OR 1-3 years related experience)
- Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail skills required
- High Performance Work Team Experience (preferred);
- Basic working knowledge and compliance: industry, EEOC and Employment Laws;
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and influence people and process situations;
- Demonstrated proficiency with operating internal and external software systems at an intermediate level;
- Attendance and completion of company sponsored training and development classes;
- Participation in Leadership training and BET

Physical and Other Requirements
- Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays
- Work extended hours
- Work rotating schedules
- Ambient temperatures range from -20F to 100+F; most often they are 65-85F
