position is responsible for hands-on, day-to-day new product development,
product optimization, and cost optimization activities across all Delavau product categories. This position will play a key
role in the product development activities associated with delivering against
our short-term and longer-term Innovation plans as well as fulfilling the
numerous sample requests that R&D receives. The individual in this role
will also be assigned key customer relationships and will serve as the Delavau technical liaison to these customers.
BS Degree in Food Science /
Technology or related field
3-6 years of experience in the
food industry working in product development/innovation
Experience with baking products
is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft
Office applications required
Excellent communication and
cross-functional teamwork skills are a must
Understanding and mastery of
the Delavau product development process from
concept through first production.
Collaboration with internal
(Marketing, Sales) and external customers to ensure objectives are being
addressed clearly, efficiently, and on-time.
Identification of new
technologies, processes, and new raw materials to support the Delavau Innovation pipeline.
Documentation of raw material
and finished good specifications and integration into Delavau systems.
Timely and efficient response
to Sample Requests; collaboration with requestor on details, timing, and
Documentation of Delavau processes and procedures; updating and
maintenance of R&D records.
Responsible for manufacturing,
distributing, and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by
following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense,
HACCP, and SQF requirements.
Responsible for immediately
reporting all food safety and quality issues to your manager.
Responsible for partnering with
others; sharing knowledge, skills, and information within your team and
across functional areas.
