Madrona Specialty Foods is the producer
of the LaPanzanella brand of crackers and
cookies. LaPanzanella’s Croccantini
crackers are among the best-selling and fastest-growing specialty crackers
nationwide. Our all natural Dolcetini artisan
cookies, inspired by time-honored recipes, blend the simple elegance of
European tea cookies with an array of original flavors. Our products enjoy
wide distribution through specialty gourmet and natural retailers as well
as restaurants and conventional grocery channels.
Using knowledge of food industry regulatory standards and the requirements
of third party vendors (AIB, Siliker, BRC, ISO),
this newly created position will audit and inspect processes and practices
at our Tukwila manufacturing facility to ensure compliance with company policies,
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and those mandated by customers. The
ideal candidate for this newly created position will be a leader who is
able to influence and drive change, and who also has the knowledge and
interest in working directly in the various areas to address the needs of a
fast paced environment.
- Conducts audits and
inspections of procedures used in all areas of the plant.
- Conducts follow up corrective
actions with managers and supervisors to ensure facility
- Provides training in
sanitation and safety policies to ensure facility compliance.
- Keeps informational paperwork
current including Kosher certificates,
supplier letters of continuing guarantee, certificates of analysis and
- Maintains Hold Log and
ensures that proper Hold procedures are being followed.
- Verifies product formula and
- Participates in the
investigation of and response to, customer complaints.
- Maintains records and
databases of training sessions and content and assists with data
collection and analysis projects.
- Tests and inspects product at
specified stages in the manufacturing process to ensure
compliance with specifications.
- Reviews, verifies, files and
maintains records relating to product safety, regulatory, and quality
- Provides expertise on
food/HACCP regulatory standards as key member of QA team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- College degree in related
science or business.
- 2-5 years of QA experience in
a food manufacturing facility, including knowledge of quality
assurance methodologies and implementation within the manufacturing
- Knowledge of Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Kosher principles and safe food
- Prior experience presenting
training materials in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong relationship building
- Excellent written and oral
