Management or Engineering roles. Requirements: Bachelor of Chemical
Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry or related sciences. Maintains current
knowledge of the food safety within FSSC 22000 and customer/regulatory
requirements. Experience with HACCP plans. 3-5+ years of experience in Food
Safety with 2+ years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated experience
leading and maintaining a GMP and pest control program. Experience working
in a manufacturing environment. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
Responsibilities Responsible for the development and control of required
Food Safety Management System documentation for the plant. Manages the
implementation and maintenance of an internal food safety audit program.
Manages the verification program for effective implementation of PRPs and oPRPs. Acts as the liaison with the Certifying Body for
FSSC 22000 during certification and surveillance audits on matters relating
to the Food Safety Management System. Supports the development of
measurable food safety objectives and policies. Establishes and maintains a
cGMP and pest control monitoring program, as well as corrective action
follow up program to assure compliance. Manages the Adverse Event program
for investigation of events that may impact product quality and/or product
safety. Assist with regulatory audits for food and feed grade materials.
Provide feedback for the Food Safety Modernization Act as well as lead the
implementation of Preventive Controls for Human Food. Works with HACCP
Teams to manage the establishment, implementation, maintenance and update
of HACCP plan(s).
