Sanitation Supervisor-1501212 - CA-Fullerton
The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for providing executional leadership within the Sanitation Department to include direct supervision of department personnel. Incumbent will also be responsible for developing and executing plans to increase the cleaning effectiveness in addition to identifying & implementing opportunities to reduce cost within the operation.
∑ Ensures that the necessary sanitation resources are provided and trained to fully support the operation. Provides leadership and direction for sanitation personnel in their execution of responsibilities in sanitation tasks and objectives with focus on overall food safety, performance, planning, scheduling and cost control
∑ Develops, implements and promotes safety programs and safe work practices through involvement in plant safety teams, programs and initiatives
∑ Promotes sound employee & labor relations within the department by developing and maintaining an effective organization with qualified personnel
∑ Develops, promotes, and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
∑ Management and maintenance of Sanitation Improvement Plan agenda.
∑ Lead or Co-Lead of Plant Sanitary Design Team
∑ Follow-up and root cause activity around CAPA program. Use of CAPA system
∑ Understanding of Sanitation Manual Programs and translation into plant local program.
∑ Internal Auditing activity as needed
∑ Performing other tasks as assigned
∑ Bachelorís Degree in Microbiology, Food or Animal Science, Engineering or a related field required
∑ A minimum of 1 year food manufacturing experiences strongly preferred
∑ A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience strongly preferred
∑ Must be available to work all shifts or alternate work schedule as needed to include weekend overtime
∑ Strong communication & leadership skills
∑ Strong desire to train, coach, and develop others to improve performance
∑ Strong analytical/critical thinking
∑ Strong accountability and follow-through skills
∑ Ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management
∑ 5-10% travel required
∑ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
