GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
The Operational Excellence Manager will be responsible for coordinating and
strategically leading operational performance improvement within the plant.
- Drive cost reduction throughout
- Maintenance of Operational Excellence
- Lead plant improvement project
teams to drive cost reduction
- Evaluate key performance
metrics within plant in order to make recommendations for cost
- Facilitate brainstorming with
plant employees at all levels to drive ideas and pipeline projects
- Provide and grow expertise in
analysis based on data driven decision making, including effective
collection and monitoring of metrics used to assess, prioritize and
select improvement projects.
- Report on performance of
projects at facilities of responsibility
- Other projects as necessary
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND
- Must have strong interpersonal
and communication skills that build productive relationships and
influences others, both within the business and across organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to put in
place a program of action, develop comprehensive training programs at
all levels, complete with accountability and follow-through to achieve
- Must have a strong track record
of collaborating effectively with others in the spirit of common
- Demonstrated application of
World Class manufacturing principles, achieving operational and
- Previous experience with
applying lean and Six Sigma methods in operations would be very
beneficial and a consideration in selection.
- Some travel will be required to
support the plant sites in developing expertise on continuous
improvement / lean methodology
- Bachelorís Degree in
Engineering, Business, Food Science, or related field is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years
related business process analysis and improvement experience, which
includes two (2) or more years
facilitation/leadership experience reflecting measurable improvements
and lean transformations.
- Excellent organization skills
