Position Summary:

This is a customer facing technical services role working with Wal-mart and the Bentonville, AR Private Brands team. With guidance from functional teams, this position facilitates interaction with Wal-mart’s technical teams to advance the new product development and approval process. Develops improved protocols to meet customer needs from new product concept through successful commercialization. Serves as key technical liaison between ConAgra Foods and customer teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Secure, prepare, review, present and track progress for project samples
  • Within 30 days, be independently capable of running Sample Review/Approval process established; ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Build 1:1 relationships with customer Product Developers in Private Brand categories relevant to ConAgra.
  • Develop in depth understanding of customer private brand strategy and processes, communicating business development requirements to internal teams.
  • Use of Project Brief to capture customer expressed need and draft APM for comparison to ConAgra capability and early insight to manage customer expectations
  • Build customer interface/business development skills that enhance ConAgra’s ability to deliver profitable business growth and meet customer expectations
  • Provide customer insight to help teams conceptualize and develop new product prototypes.
  • Faciliate internal communication across Manufacturing, Product Devlopement, Quality, Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Follow through on Product Development interaction and follow ups from unique Quality Review projects
  • Participate in monthly CoA and Consumer complaint reviews; use in support of APM format of Project Brief
  • Support ASPECT data collection
  • Plan, prioritize and complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Complete project objectives under the direction of supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records.

Position Requirements:

  • BS in Food Science or related field required
  • 1 year relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
  • Pro-active self-starter, willing to accept responsibility for business tasks.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • May travel up to 30% of time. Must be able to travel independently and as a responsible CAG representative.

Physical Requirements:

  • Driving a company or rental automobile 4 to 6 hours as needed.
  • Walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Lifting (ability to lift 25 lbs on a regular basis)
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing environments
  • Sensory evaluation of wide variety of foods and meats
