The Safety Quality Food specialist is
responsible for ensuring food safety compliance and operational systems
monitoring. The company is certified by SQF2 and is governed by FDA rules.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and monitor the
operational compliance to the Food Safety Plan as dictated by the Safe
Quality Food certification, and all food safety & quality policies
Inspect production activities
to ensure that they meet internal Food Safety & Quality Program
which includes the proper documentation of CCP checks and product
quality inspection, employee adherence to GMPs.
Perform internal audits and
inspections on processing activity, preventative maintenance,
sanitation, pest control and waste management.
Verify and validate
prerequisite programs in accordance with HACCP.
Assist in education/training
of staff in quality systems and food safety programs.
This position will understand
and follow HACCP standards while monitoring manufacturing practices in
regards to HACCP.
Any other duties or
responsibilities that may be deemed necessary by manager.
Manage the product and
operations Safety Quality Food Plan as directed by Senior Management.
Understands and upholds the
programs and policies within the SQF2 Plan.
The Right Applicant
A minimum of HS degree and 2
years of college .
Some experience in food
processing or with regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of good
manufacturing practices which support safe work environment.
Proficient in Microsoft
organization, problem-solving and time management skills as
effectively interact with colleagues.
