Keys Fisheries, Inc. invites applicants for the position of Quality Food Safety Supervisor. The Quality Food Supervisor will lead the Food Safety Department to ensure Company and government quality standards are met in the following areas:
Food Safety Compliance: Understand and implements all plant, company, and government standards for Food Safety, Environmental monitoring, HACCP, GMP’s, and SQF.
Documentation/Communication: Ensure microbiology, allergen, and food safety records and data is appropriately documented, the interpretation of the data is correct and the results are effectively communicated to appropriate individuals.
Training and standardization: Develop, designs and delivers quality training including new hire, new process, new equipment, and new policy training.
Continuous Improvement: Understands and drives continuous improvement of the plant food safety processes and environmental monitoring performance issues.
Cleaning and Sanitation: Understands implements and maintains all plant equipment cleaning and sanitizing in an efficient and timely manner to ensure the plant is in compliance with all food safety requirements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for execution and documentation of the Plant Food Safety Program. Includes documentation of all CCP’s, HACCP, FDA, SQF, and Pest Control. Responsible for conducting investigation of all Food Safety issues through a Corrective Action/Preventive Action process. Leads internal GMP, quality standards and system audits for the facility. Assist with execution and follow up of regulatory, internal and external audits (FDA, SQF, State, etc.)
Education/Experience Requirements: Basic Qualifications include: BS degree in Food Science or other related field. 3 + experience in food manufacturing, and food safety experience in HACCP and SQF certification.
