Regulatory Compliance Associate - USA

Summary: The open position for Regulatory Compliance Associate is responsible for supporting Happy Family’s Food Law / Regulatory Compliance department by assisting with organization of information and securing of organic, kosher, and non-GMO certifications, the labeling of food products, and supporting information gathering pertaining to ingredients for domestic and international projects.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Assist in the review of product labeling and other consumer facing content for accuracy and compliance to internal and external standards
Oversee certification of product accordingly
Give applicable insight on innovation projects by bringing regulatory vision / knowledge of regulations (internally and externally) to project team
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about certifications, including supplier certificates, supplier specification sheets, supplier statements, and other essential documents.
Support Regulatory Compliance team in gathering data related to product certifications (including organic, kosher, non-GMO) and nutrition labeling while maintaining professional relationships with 3rd party stakeholders.
Assist in data entry and maintenance of information using a variety of software systems, including ESHA Genesis SQL (no previous training required).
Solve problems and answer inquiries through communication with suppliers and certification partners.
Search for opportunities to streamline work by driving efficiencies through process improvements or system enhancements.
Interfaces with: Production Team; Research & Development; QA; External Stakeholders;
Strong interest in food and nutrition. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field preferred
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Detail oriented, accurate and organized.
Must possess strong computer skills including proficiency in Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new software systems.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with a variety of internal and external contacts, including cold calling.
Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks in an effective manner.
Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with the ability to solve problems quickly.
