Description

The Nutrition and Compliance Documentation Manager position will be responsible for the receipt, organization, maintenance and retrieval of Nutrition and Compliance documents and records within the company. The Nutrition and Compliance Data and Documentation Manager will also provide leadership and assistance to the Nutrition and Compliance team in areas of compliance data and document management.

Requirements

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Work with Nutrition and Compliance end users, and other members of the Company to:

  • Maintain Nutrition and Compliance system documentation and programs i.e. USDA, FDA, SOPs.
  • Maintain a current document master list and master files.
  • Develop and maintain a document review process to ensure prompt revision of documentation to support audits, audit program, and pre-requisite programs.
  • Ensure all programs and documents are properly approved.
  • Distribute revised documents to necessary locations and remove obsolete revision.
  • Drive improvement in documentation and streamline processes.
  • Manage the requisition and formatting of documentation for audits, certifications, registrations, sales bids, and customer support in accordance with the requirements defined by the customer, USDA, FDA, State Agency, and industry governed regulation.
  • Design, implement, test, and support tools for food and diet analysis and visualization.
  • Organize and communicate results to other members of the Nutrition and Compliance group, as well as affected stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in nutrition, food science, biology, or a related field and three years of regulatory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with USDA and/or FDA compliance data and document organization and management desired.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft suite of products (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and Adobe.
  • Practical experience with USDA approved food composition databases and diet analysis software a plus.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven record in delivering accurate high quality of work, with exceptional attention to detail in day to day tasks.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excels working within a cross-functional team and comfortable with a self-directed working style.
  • Strong drive for results and ability to bring projects to completion.
  • General knowledge of food and food processing a plus.
  • Energetic and flexible.
