As our portfolio of products continues to grow, our facility in Springfield, MO has an immediate opening for a Food Technologist.
Job Responsibilities

  • Support new product development as a member of the research and development team
  • Must have a basic understanding of new product development regarding the utilization of ingredients, seasonings, spices, and flavors to meet directive requirements for new products
  • Ability to research and investigate packaging needs for new products or improvements to existing packaging
  • Ability to research and investigate sourcing of any required ingredients
  • Understand product development to ensure adherence to price points.
  • Responsible for coordination of product launches by organizing movement through the approval process
  • Work with Operations in scheduling and providing technical support during plant trials
  • Ensure product preparation instructions are correct regarding consumer acceptance, food quality and food safety
  • Set up, monitor, and report information regarding product shelf life studies
  • Develop connections with vendors to establish problem solving strategies
  • Responsible to ensure product nutritional facts conform with FDA labeling requirements
  • Responsible to ensure product ingredient declarations are accurate and conform to labeling regulations

EducationPreferred:

  • B.S. in Food Science / Technology

Required:

  • B.S. in science related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in food research and/or development
