High Road Craft Ice Cream, Inc. is seeking to fill
the shoes of a top-shelf Director of Food Safety and Quality Control
Our rapidly growing ice cream manufacturing company
is in need of a food safety professional with the following skills:
- The ability to nurture, train, and develop a very passionate group of
- Experience not only following
systems and managing an SQF level-aspiring documentation/food safety program,
but the ability to collaborate with Retail partners and Executives
from the company to orchestrate and architect next-generation programs
for the company.
- Business and financial
acumen. The QC Director will have P&L level responsibility for
expense control, and converting best practices in to plant efficiency
- The ability to adapt to a
rapidly changing manufacturing environment. This is an R&D-heavy,
high variability manufacturing environment, so being addicted to the
assembly-line mindset won't serve you well here. Think manufacturing
meets craftsmanship. We need safety strategies for a hybridized
- The wherewithal to structure
a team, a budget for said team, and roles and responsibilities for
each of those team members. You'll have hiring and firing
responsibilities, and will manage all food safety, janitorial,
stewarding, and quality control processes and people.
You'll have to have a sense of adventure, a desire to
help orchestrate a 5x jump in growth, and a true tolerance for ambiguity.
It's important that you're a bit entrepreneurial, and probably just a
little bit crazy.
