POSITION TITLE:                                                 

Scientist- Biscuit Product Development



The candidate will have responsibilities for the development process from ideation through commercialization for their assigned projects.  These duties also include assisting marketing in identifying business opportunities within the Snacks portfolio.


Candidate must  plan and conduct trials, data collection, and interpret results to drive program and technical knowledge forward, developing action plans, risk assessments, and contingency planning. Individual must have strong product development skills in ingredient functionality, material selection, and formulation; work collaboratively with team members, leverage experts/partners, ensure compliance to documentation, shelf life, regulatory requirements for NA, FTO/IP, confidentiality requirements.


Minimum 5 years of product development experience required with a proven track record of leading programs through complete PD cycle demonstrating strong project management skills. The Candidate will interface with Marketing, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Research and External Manufacturing.   


1.    Development of new products from bench development through commercialization. Conduct pilot plant and large scale tests.                                                                                                                                                 

2.    Establish research plans, conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data and develop recommendations based on findings.     

3.    Write specifications that deliver consistent, high-quality products across numerous manufacturing facilities. Complete required documentations; notebook, technical reports, IP, FTO.     

4.    Support Quality and Manufacturing.  Serve as technical liaison and collaborate with cross functional team members.     

5.    Collaborating with suppliers and business partners in Marketing, Operations, Market Research, Finance and other functions.

·         Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field required

·         Minimum 5 years’ experience working with proven track record of successful product launches and product & process development technology in the Food Industry. Minimum 5 years

·         Strong Food Science , Food Chemistry, and Process knowledge preferably within the biscuit category Minimum 5 years
