Key Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily production operations of the company and all its
components including logistics and baking.
Optimize, implement and successfully manage production efficiency and
Manage the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing process, ensuring that
both food and workplace safety best practices are maximized.
Develop new recipes for bakery line + chocolate line.
Analyze and implement process flow improvements, to include capabilities
Determine optimum staffing for production/packaging departments.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal USDA/HACCP policies and
Evaluate employee performance and motivate to achieve peak productivity.
Oversee the employment and training of staff members,
act as a mentor to staff.
Forecast facility capabilities and manage annual production operating
Desired Skills & Experience
5+ years operations
management experience in food production. Industrial bakery experience
Proven history of leading and growing a production team.
Experience opening new production facilities and starting new product
Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP and food production sanitation.
Strong leadership skills especially in coaching, mentoring and employee
Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities and easily adapt to changing
Strong verbal communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience with training, scheduling, quality control, safety and security.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
