GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
- This team member provides
technical and regulatory support with emphasis on regulations associated
with both USDA and FDA labeling. Team member works cooperatively with
R&D Scientist, Marketing, BU Project Leaders, and Regulatory
departments to provide packaging graphics content that meets the needs
of all business units: Retail, Convenience, Food Service and Industrial.
The contribution of this associate assures full compliance with the laws
governed by USDA, FDA, FNS, FSIS, CFIA and FTC to uphold the integrity
of our policies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain knowledge
and understanding of USDA and FDA regulations relating to labeling of
all AdvancePierre products for channels
including retail, convenience, food service and industrial.
- Develop and maintain knowledge
and understanding of Canadian and Mexican regulations relating to labeling
of all AdvancePierre product
- Develop ingredient statements
and labels that accurately reflect the product design and provide
critical information to our customers.
- Prepare documentation of
transmittals for USDA products and maintain record of approvals.
- Cooperative work with Nutrition
Services and Business Unit Leaders to ensure all claims are accurate and
within company policies.
- Maintain knowledge of USDA/FDA
rules and regulations to facilitate response to inquiries from internal
and external customers, regulatory agencies and members of the business
- Assure website and marketing
materials for products are accurate and provide data critical to our customers end use of our products.
- Foster and maintain good
working relations with all regulatory agencies.
- Implement and communicate
revisions to recipes and labels with all appropriate personnel.
- Must have expert knowledge of
Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro and standard office equipment. Typing skill
level of minimum of 30 words per minute.
- Communicate in a clear, concise
and grammatically correct manner through all correspondence.
- Provide courteous, timely and
accurate responses to internal and external customers, ensuring
customers are fully satisfied.
- May Travel by air as necessary
to obtain or provide training or assistance to other members of Labeling
& Commercialization Services in other facilities.
- Team member is responsible for
following the company guidelines as presented in Employee Policies and

- Ability to respond to difficult
inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members
of the business community.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 years
experience in labeling and labeling regulations.
- Associate’s degree (A.A. or
A.S) or equivalent from college or technical school; or related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
- B.S. degree a plus.
- Candidates with international
regulatory experience preferred.
