We are fusing the culinary and food science worlds in order to make game-changing snack products that are nutritious and actually taste great. Our clients come to us because we can take the inkling of an idea and give them something unbelievable to taste in days or weeks, not years.

We know that there are no problems without solutions. Dedication and work will always overcome the most difficult roadblocks. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for food and for giving consumers better choices when they walk down the grocery store aisles.

The ideal candidate is a flexible multi-tasker who welcomes challenges and a fast-paced environment. New and exciting projects are always coming through the door, so you need to be on your toes and good at reshuffling priorities. That being said, precision and execution are absolutely fundamental.

You’ll be working with a team of dedicated professionals to develop ground-breaking products across a wide range of categories. We are looking for someone creative, but also practical - someone self-motivated and driven, but also team-oriented. You must learn fast and be ready to jump in and lead as soon as possible. You will be in charge of several projects at once, and they all have shifting timelines. Therefore, organizational skills, recipe/formula writing, and comfort with technology are necessities.

You must have a food science or culinary background (or a combination of both!) with experience in the consumer packaged goods industry. We predominantly focus on “on-the-go snacks” including (but not limited to) beverages, sweet snacks, salty snacks, breakfast foods, and fast-casual dining concepts.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of what is possible in the manufacturing and ingredient world. We don’t expect you to know everything, but we do except that you know where to find the information you need in order to execute a wide variety of projects. And we expect that you will stay current on trends and advancements within the industry, so that you can come up with innovative ideas and techniques.

Communication is critical. You need to be able to explain your work to the CEO, the Head Chef, the interns, and everyone in between. We are a small team, and everyone plays a crucial part. The resources we have are here because someone took charge and asked for them. You are your best advocate. Each new project has new challenges, and you have to take initiative and be aware of what you need.

  • Minimum of 8 years in food industry research and/or product development.
  • The ability to look beyond current products.
  • Food science or culinary degree
  • A creative lens for food and new product development that can be commercialized in multiple international markets and within the development guidelines
  • An ability to understand the needs of customers and a desire to over-deliver on solutions to them
  • Knowledge of what it takes to take a product from concept to market (with the flexibility to know there are multiple paths to the finish line)
  • The ability to create new or adapt existing techniques in order to simulate manufacturing practices in a kitchen setting
  • Must have a detailed understanding of nutrition and labeling
  • Strong computer skills
  • A love of food and a desire to share that with the people around you
