Food Safety / Quality
We are currently
recruiting for an experienced Food Safety/Quality Assurance Director to join
our team here at Greencore. The FSQA Director leads our technical
function on-site, ensuring that we are producing food of the highest quality
for our clients at all times. Within your role of FSQA Director you
will be working to maintain the extremely high quality standards that we set
while maintaining the quality of our service delivery.
You will ensure that our products conform to all relevant specifications and
that we are fully compliant against our Customer Codes of Practice, HACCP and
all current legislation. This position will be located in our Jacksonville,
FL manufacturing site.

What you'll be doing
You’ll take the lead
on investigations into key deviations from process and customer
specification, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to bring the process
back under control.
A large part of your
role will be the management of your Technical team, focusing on supporting
and leading your team to deliver successful results for the business, in
addition to playing a key role in mentoring them to realize their own
potential both now and in the future. You’ll be monitoring departmental
KPI’s and challenging improvement, when required, to ensure targets are
achieved and improved.
You’ll be a leader and
truly value a culture of continuous improvement as well as ensuring that the
entire factory is a safe working environment and that the department meets
all GMP and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements. Within your
role as FSQA Director you will support the wider business and will
assist with customer site visits, audits and business reviews.
What you'll need
With an undergraduate
degree in a relevant field, you'll have a food science background with a
great experience of managing quality management systems in high paced chilled
food production environments. You’ll be responsible for the food safety
management across the site and so a background in food science and
legislation will be a must. Some graduate study in the field is highly
desired but not required.
experience of applying food legislation to manufacturing practice, you'll
have experience of managing supplier auditors and the ability to evaluate and
interpret shelf life data.

capable of managing your own work load in addition to managing your team.
