Quality Supervisor – Des Moines, IA
ADM Alliance Nutrition, Inc. – a fully-owned subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company and national manufacturer of livestock feed with over 40 locations in North America is seeking a Quality Supervisor for our Des Moines, IA premix plant. Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Manage the quality and product safety programs to keep current and ensure compliance with ADM, Regulatory and Customer requirements, including Organic compliance
  • Prepare and participate in FDA, GMP, customer, organic and internal audits
  • Manage FDA required validation studies
  • Work with Regulatory department to maintain NADA files
  • Supply toll manufacturing customers with month end reports
  • Ensure quality and product safety checks are properly completed to meet procedural requirements, investigate manufacturing errors and documentation of deviations or incident investigations
  • Perform daily review of batch mixing records for verifications
  • Provide training to new hires, contractors and refresher training as needed, maintain training records
  • Oversight of sample retains, product testing, positive release program
  • Maintain product assay data in a shareable format/summary, compare analytical results to specifications, create COAs as necessary
  • Assist with product recalls, carryover studies, uniformity studies, traceability as necessary
  • Complaint Handling – conduct investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions and provide recommendations for improvement
  • HACCP Coordinator – keep program current, control points managed, conduct routine HACCP meetings, and provide routine performance reports
  • QMS – Manage quality goals and data, provide routine performance reports



Requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor degree in Feed Science or related field (or equivalent related experience) with 3+ years’ experience in feed/food quality.
  • Must have knowledge of FDA and state regulatory requirements, HACCP preferred.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead, coach, build consensus and lead change among a team of operations and sales colleagues.
  • Ideal candidate will be decisive and results oriented, be highly organized, have strong analytical program solving/rout cause analysis skills, and be a team player.
